John  Lennon was an English singer, songwriter, musician and peace activist who achieved worldwide fame as the founder, co-lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist of the Beatles. His songwriting partnership with Paul McCartney remains the most successful in history. Yoko Ono is a Japanese multimedia artist, singer, songwriter and peace activist. Her work also encompasses performance art, which she performs in both English and Japanese, and filmmaking. She was married to John Lennon of the Beatles from 1969 until his murder in 1980. After the Beatles disbanded in 1970, they collaborated in various projects releasing six studio albums. Milk and Honey is their last one, released in 1984. Following the compilation The John Lennon Collection, it is Lennon’s eighth and final studio album, and the first posthumous release of new Lennon music, having been recorded in the last months of his life during and following the sessions for his 1980 album Double Fantasy. It was assembled by Yoko Ono in association with the Geffen label.
