Nine Inch Nails – Not The Actual Events
33,00 €
Nine Inch Nails is an American industrial rock band formed in 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio. Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Trent Reznor was the only permanent member of the band until the official addition of English musician Atticus Ross in 2016. Nine Inch Nails has influenced many newer artists, and following the release of The Downward Spiral, mainstream artists began to take notice of Nine Inch Nails’ influence: David Bowie compared Reznor’s impact to that of The Velvet Underground while Bob Ezrin, producer for Pink Floyd, Kiss, Alice Cooper, and Peter Gabriel, described Reznor in 2007 as a “true visionary” and advised aspiring artists to take note of his no-compromise attitude. Not the Actual Events is their fifth extended play (EP) and tenth major release. It was released on December 23, 2016, under Trent Reznor’s own label The Null Corporation. The second Nine Inch Nails EP of original material following Broken (1992), it marks longtime collaborator Atticus Ross’s first appearance as an official member of the band. The EP is the first in a trilogy released in 2016–2018, preceding Add Violence (2017) and the band’s ninth studio album Bad Witch (2018). The EP received positive reviews from critics, who praised the return to Nine Inch Nails’ older, more abrasive sound.
