Gorillaz – Demon Days
29,00 €
Gorillaz are a British virtual band created in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The band primarily consists of four animated members: 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs. With Gorillaz, Albarn departed from the distinct Britpop of his band Blur, exploring a variety of musical styles including hip hop, electronic music, and world music through an “eccentrically postmodern” approach. Demon Days is their second album, released on 23 May 2005 in the United Kingdom by Parlophone. Produced by the band, Danger Mouse, Jason Cox, and James Dring, the album features contributions from De La Soul, Neneh Cherry, Martina Topley-Bird, Roots Manuva, MF Doom, Ike Turner, Bootie Brown of the Pharcyde, Shaun Ryder, and Dennis Hopper. Demon Days is now considered to have left an indelible mark on alternative music and has since been variously hailed as “iconic”, “classic”, “timeless” and a “ modern masterpiece.
