The National – Alligator

The National is an American rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio formed in 1999. The band has been compared to Joy Division, Leonard Cohen, Interpol, Wilco, Depeche Mode and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, with lyrics “dark, melancholy and difficult to interpret”. Alligator is their third studio album released on April 2005 on Beggars Banquet, bringing to the band critical acclaim and increasing their fanbase significantly. Produced by their long-time produced Peter Katis (who also worked on Interpol’s Turn On The Bright Lights), it contains 13 songs with a running time of 48 minutes. The LP contains download codes for the digital version.
