Sotiris Debonos – Blue Nevus

Debonos Sotiris studied mandolin, classical guitar and superior theoretical music studies in Athens. For this album, he is using a custom electric mandolin/guitar and his material, (mixed acoustic, electronic and jazzy elements) is mostly motivated by the Ionian Musical School, which follows purely the Western modes and aesthetics. Along with his “Farwest Mandolinistic Orchestra”, in “Blue Nevus” he tells us 11 short stories in experimental jazz forms.
