Marvin Gaye was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Following his death, The New York Times described Gaye as someone who “blended the soul music of the urban scene with the beat of the old-time gospel singer and became an influential force in pop music”. Dream of a Lifetime is his eighteenth and first posthumously released studio album. It included the top five R&B single, Sanctified Lady, and hits like Symphony, Masochistic Beauty.
