Tom Waits – Heartattack And Vine
30,00 €
Tom Waits is an American singer, songwriter, musician, composer, and actor. His music is characterized by lyrics focusing on the underside of society, delivered in his distinctively deep, gravelly voice. During the 1970s, he worked primarily in jazz, but since the 1980s his music has reflected greater influence from blues, vaudeville, and experimental genres. Despite little commercial success domestically, Waits influenced many musicians and has captured an international cult following. In 2011, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and included in the 2015 Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time. Heartattack and Vine is his seventh album, released on September 9, 1980. Track “On the Nickel” was recorded for the Ralph Waite film of the same name and the track “Heartattack and Vine” was covered by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. Bruce Springsteen also often covers the track “Jersey Girl” in his tours.
