The Residents – Please Do Not Steal It

Initially a promotional-only release, Please Do Not Steal It! is perhaps most memorable due to its eye-catching cover design by Porno Graphics, with pink text on a black background encouraging the reader to leave the record at the radio station it was sent to, as The Residents need the airplay.

Featuring a number of tracks previously only available on singles and unique edits of longer album tracks, the compilation was reissued in Australia and Europe under the title Nibbles in September of 1979.

Both compilations include the A-side of Snakefinger’s debut single “The Spot”, which featured production and arrangement by The Residents.
