Pharmakon – Abandon

27,00

Pharmakon is the solo experimental music project of Margaret Chardiet (born June 19, 1990), based out of New York City and formed in 2007. Margaret was a founding member of the Red Light District collective in Far Rockaway, NY, and has been a figurehead in the underground experimental scene since the age of seventeen. Pharmakon’s live musical act has been described as confrontational and concise, attempting to “cross the boundary between performer and audience”. Her songs are completely prearranged both live and in recordings, more focused on perfecting a sound rather than generating randomness in noise. Abandon is her second album, released in 2013, and the first on Sacred Bones Records. Engineered by Sean Ragon of Cult of Youth (see him perform at Syd Records) at his self-built recording studio Heaven Street, it is her first widely distributed release.
