Paris Smith’s New Composers Ensemble – 53rd Street Ghost

Paris Smith is a chicago-based artist that has released three albums through his own Oracle records. 53 Street Ghost is his 3rd release, getting the vinyl treatment for the first time, previously only available on CD. The album features a large ensemble. Paris Smith vibraphone, Ben Montgomery drums David “Dawi” Williams bass, Shelton “Saleem” Salley guitar, Carol Sawall vocals & percussion, Charles “Yapree” Howell piano andStephanie Florence percussion. The album lays the vibes of the 90s Chicago scene with a great batch of funky jazz tracks. This reissue by Jazzaggression Records is carefully remastered, comes with new pictures original liners and new liner notes by Paris Smith. The album is limited to 500 copies.
