Mastodon – The Hunter

Mastodon is an American heavy metal band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2000. Their music has been described as progressive metal, sludge metal, alternative metal, stoner rock, psychedelic metal, experimental metal, and groove metal. According to BBC, they are one of the most ambitious, most fearless, most fun heavy metal bands to have breached the mainstream. The Hunter is their fifth studio album, released on September 2011. The album was met with universal acclaim from music critics. The Hunter features a mix of clean singing and a few songs with harsher shouting vocals, and the song “Spectrelight” features Neurosis vocalist/guitarist Scott Kelly as a guest.
