Julia Kent – Character

Julia Kent is a Vancouver, British Columbia–born, New York City–based, Canadian cellist and composer. She has performed as a member of Rasputina and with Antony and the Johnsons. Kent creates music using looped cello, found sounds, and electronics. Character is her fourth full-length album, released on The Leaf Label on 4 March 2013. Recorded in her home studio in New York City, it features compositions built around Kent’s layered, multi-tracked cello, electronics as well as found sounds.
