24,00

Jean-Michel Jarre is a French composer, performer and record producer. He is a pioneer in the electronic, ambient and new-age genres, and is known for organising outdoor spectacles featuring his music, vast laser displays, large projections and fireworks. Jarre had sold an estimated 80 million albums. He was the first Western musician officially invited to perform in the People’s Republic of China and holds the world record for the largest-ever audience at an outdoor event for his Moscow concert on 6 September 1997, which was attended by 3.5 million people. Oxygène is his third studio album and the first not intended for use as a soundtrack. Oxygène consists of six tracks, numbered simply “Oxygène Part I” to “Part VI”. It became a bestseller and was Jarre’s first album to achieve mainstream success. It was highly influential in the development of electronic music from that point onward and has been described as the album that “led the synthesizer revolution of the Seventies” and “an infectious combination of bouncy, bubbling analog sequences and memorable hook lines”.
