Adele – 30
30 is the fourth studio album by English singer-songwriter Adele, released on 19 November 2021 by Melted Stone and Columbia Records. As her return to music after a six-year hiatus since the release of her third studio album 25 (2015), 30 centres on Adele’s divorce, motherhood, fame, heartache, acceptance, and hope. Adele wrote 30 between 2018 and 2021 with producers such as Greg Kurstin, Max Martin and Shellback, all of whom worked on 25 as well; new collaborators include Ludwig Göransson, and Inflo of the English band Sault. The album reached number one in 24 territories, including the UK where it opened with the highest first-week sales for an album by a female artist since Adele’s own 25 and became the best-selling album of 2021 in the country. In the US, it was Adele’s third consecutive Billboard 200 number-one album and the year’s best-seller as well. 30 won British Album of the Year at the 42nd Brit Awards, making Adele the first solo artist in history to win the honour three times.
